39 week update

There was still no change at the doctors. I am going in Monday to make a decision as to what to do next. I really want to give labor a try, but I also want what is best for baby Addison. We will keep you updated.

38 weeks belly!!!

It's not going to be long when I can no longer can get away with putting pictures of my belly on this blog. It is hard to believe that Addison will be here in a week. We are beyond excited!!! The anticipation is killing us!!! We have our doctors appointment on Thursday so we will keep up updated.

I love the picture of Paul kissing my belly. His head looks so tiny...or maybe my belly is just that big:-)

38 weeks Update

We are now 38 weeks pregnant and again no change at the doctor's appointment. I believe we got too excited too fast when we were originally told that we were moving fast. Things have come to a stop! The doctor warned us that if we still looked the same in 2 weeks then he would 1st try to induce us, but he can't see that helping much...then we would have to talk about doing a C-section.
When I first got pregnant I knew that there was a chance that I would not be able to deliver naturally. I have a tilted uterus that runs on my mom's side of the family. I was assured that everything looked fine though. Right now baby Addison is not dropping and that is the problem. We still have 2 weeks...which is a long time. We will just have to wait. In the mean time all I can do is pray...oh yeah, I'm walking in a walk-a-thon on Saturday:-)

Sorry...

I am so sorry I didn't update you after the last doctors visit. I found out that there wasn't any change. I was still 2 cm dialated and 80% effaced. My next doctor's appointment is Thursday and hopefully there will be some "new" news!!!

My Baby Shower went WONDERFUL at school. The teachers did a wonderful job at preparing wonderful food and decorating so beautifully. I was overwhelmed by the generosity and love that was evident. We got the gift cards and money that helped us complete our purchases for Addison's arrival. I have been so lucky to be surrounded by so many people that care about me and Addison. The teachers have been so involved along the way. My belly is constantly being rubbed throughout the day and updates are given every time I am in the halls. The nickname "prego" was given to me early in the pregnancy and puts a smile on my face everyday. It's hard to explain the support that I am surrounded by... I love all my "teacher friends" so much and can't wait for them to meet Addison.

Doctor Update

The first thing out of the doctors mouth today was..."WOW! You are far along for this being your first child!" With that said, we found out that we are 1-2 centimeters dialated and 80% effaced. We asked if we would be going early and the doctor wouldn't say yes or no. He said it is really hard to tell. We will keep you updated:-)

36 Weeks!!!

At week 36 I am becoming extremely anxious and somewhat cranky. Poor Paul is dealing with the mood swings and the constant whining very well. I am feeling huge and uncomfortable. My ankles are swelling, my face feels 3-times rounder, and my stomach is getting heavier and heavier. We are ready for Addison to get here. The nursery is done and the carseat is in the car. I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday and I find myself hoping that they will tell me I have one hour to go home and get my bags because she is ready. While researching the internet to find out how I should be feeling...I found this quote and it brought me "back to earth". I am thankful for this miracle that is growing inside of me...

Whether this is your first pregnancy or last, take a few moments to savor the feeling of your baby moving about your belly. There simply is nothing quite like it, and in the grand scheme of things pregnancy is just nine short months of the long journey of life. Your newborn baby will eventually grow into a teenager and then an adult. Before you know it you will look back on these days of bloating, weight gain and fatigue with awe and longing!

Congratulations!!!!

Congratulations Natalee(Paul's sister) and Adam on your Engagement!!!

Adam proposed to Natalee on Saturday morning while out fishing in a paddle boat. Of course she said yes and they are going to enjoy the next few days being engaged before setting any dates. Her 1 Karat diamond ring is beautiful and we are so excited for them:-). Our family has another exciting year ahead of us!
