1 Month Old!

I cannot believe Ethan is already 1 month old!  It has been an amazing adventure having him in our lives.  Its so neat how he just found his place in our family and now I can't imagine life without him.
So what is he up to?
1. He is a good eater!  He eats every 2-3 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night
2. He loves to be cuddled.
3. He loves Addison.  She can calm him down everytime.
4. He is still wearing newborn clothes even though he is so long.
5. He is in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height.
6. His eyes are still blue.  We are hoping they stay that way!
7. He sleeps a lot...giving us plenty of time to spend with Addison.
8. He is smiling when you talk to him with a "baby-voice".

A Day at the Park

When Addison gets home we always try to have something fun planned.  We like to go to the different parks around our house and let her run and play.  Today we went to Irmo Park (where Paul and I got married).  Addison enjoyed throwing rocks in the creek and Ethan enjoyed the breeze while riding in his stroller.  The weather was beautiful.

Playing Outside

Addison LOVES the outdoors.  Once she is outside it is almost imposible to get her inside.  We don't exactly have a "child-friendly" backyard, but she doesn't seem to mind much.  All her toys are pilled up on the porch and she has so much fun.  She loves to go outside as soon as she gets home.  She will eat her snack out there, blow bubbles, and look for catapillars (which she says in the cutest way).  Here are some pictures of her doing what she likes best.

PS.  We have big plans for expanding the backyard this summer!

2 Weeks Already!!!

Ethan had his 2 weeks doctors visit today.  He is doing great!  He currently weighs 8lbs. 8oz. He is 20 1/2 inches long.  He is in the 75th percentile for length and the 50th percentile for everything else.  We are enjoying every moment with Ethan.  He is a wonderful baby.  He sleeps so well and just seems to have found his place in our family.  I couldn't have asked for a better family.  Addison is doing so well with Ethan as well.  She likes to hold him, talk to him, read to him, and feed him.  She is an amazing big sister.  For only being 2 years old, she is doing great!  Paul is, of course, a wonderful dad and helper.  We are tag-teaming every task which makes the day go by so smoothly.  God is so good!

Happy Easter!

When Addison woke up this morning she discovered "bunny-poop".  She followed the trail which lead to her Easter basket.  After opening gifts we got ready and went to church.  Ethan did so well during the service.  He slept almost the entire time, even through the loud music.  Here are our family Easter pictures!

Thank you God for sending your Son to die for us.  Thank you for blessing us with a beautiful family.

Having Fun!

We are enjoyed having Ethan in our family.  I have trouble coming up with words to described how blessed we are feeling at this point!  All I can say is God is Good!!!

Ethan John Sadler is Here!!!

Ethan was born on March 29, 2010.  He weighed 8lbs. 11oz.  He was 20 1/4 inches long.

Having a C-section was a wonderful experience.  We had some amazing doctors and nurses that made the experience memorable.

Ethan has been an absolute blessing to our family.  He is a laid-back, easy-going baby.  Right now he has bluish-gray eyes, olive colored skin, and brown hair.  He lost some "water" weight after coming home and currently weighs 7 lbs. 15oz.  He loves to cuddle and be held, but also likes to "chill" and be by himself.  He is eating great!  I am pumping again, just like I did with Addison, and everyting is going well.

His big sister Addison adores him!  She loves to hold him and then she goes about her business.  She has re-named him Mack, a child from her daycare, and thinks its funny when we correct her.
