Practice makes perfect...

Today we decided that Addison should start practicing sleeping in her Pack-n-Play. She will be sleeping in this bed at her new day school. Here are some pictures of her in her cute little bed during nap time. I know it is hard to see but she is laying on the blanket that her Great-Grandma Cockrell made for her.

Never too early...

Most of you know that Paul's family is very much into soccer. Addison already has an AVFC (England soccer team) paci, bib, and even an outfit. Pappy and MiMi have introduced her to a soccer ball and I was SO surprised to see what she can do at such a young age. Pappy bounces the soccer ball to Addison and she can catch it! It is so fun to watch. Here are some pictures of our little soccer player in action.

Pappy was teaching her how to "head" the ball. They would take turns.

She has been so curious about the bowl, so today when she was finished I gave it to her. It was so funny.
She made a BIG mess!!!

Rice Cereal

Addison got rice cereal for the first time today. I think Paul and I were more excited than she was. She takes an early evening nap and we sat and sat in the living room just waiting for her to wake up. As soon as we heard her wake up we rushed in her room to get her. She LOVED the rice cereal. She did such a great job at keeping it in her mouth. A couple of times, I guess I was going too slow, she would reach out to pull the spoon towards her. She even tried to grab the bowl once. It is so amazing how she "knew" what to do after never eating before. We were so excited! We can't wait till tomorrow...to do it again.

After a lot of patience and prayer, we now have someone to watch Addison when I go back to work. She is a lovely lady who only watches teacher's kids in my district. She has been watching children in her home now for 25 years. I was told that she typically does not have openings but I was lucky when she had only one opening left for this school year. Paul and I met with her on Monday and Addison bonded with her immediately. She lives on a huge farm with horses and goats. Paul and I prayed that we would find someone who was a Christian and who would love Addison and would not look at the situation as a "job". We truly believe we found that person. I feel more comfortable now about going back to work...now will I still cry...who knows? I cried the other day thinking about how Addison was going to be the youngest and I didn't want the other kids to come and steal her toys from her. I know I'm just being emotional:-). I guess I will be needing a lot of prayer when her first day comes around.

Addison was so cute this morning. We had her in her Bumbo seat and we were sitting on the floor playing with her and Paul was drumming on her tray. She had several different toys laid out on her tray and she grabbed her teddy and fell asleep almost immediately. She has never done anything like this before. It was so cute!

Last weekend Paul, Addison and I went up to Virginia to spend time with my Mom, John, and Matthew. When we left we brought Matthew home with us. Then this past Friday Mom, John, Marie (great-grandma), and Rachael came here to South Carolina. We had a great time showing Marie and Rachael around. Here are some pictures from the past week.

We recently found out that Addison might have Acid Reflux. This is causing pain in her chest and stomach after eating. She started medicine a couple days ago and here is a picture of her reaction. She kept this face for the longest time. It was priceless...needless to say...she does not like her new medicine.

4th of July...

Here are some pictures from the 4th of July. Abby did such a great job holding Addison and making the Glow-in-the-dark necklaces was so much fun (espically since we lost electricity due to the storm). We really enjoyed seeing everyone.
***Thank you Heather for the pictures.

Another day at the Zoo

Today Kasey, Connor, Addison, and I went to the Zoo. It was an absolutely beautiful day and we couldn't pass it up. We had a great time. The babies did wonderful. Towards the end Connor needed a passy and Kasey couldn't find his, so Addison lent hers. It was funny because it said Princess on it. He rocked it!!! By the end of our day both babies were asleep in the back seat. Here are some pictures from our day.
