7 months old

So Addison will be turning 7 months this weekend and we wanted to share with you all the new things she is doing.

2 days ago she started crawling...well we're really not sure if it is considered crawling yet. She is doing what we call the "army" crawl. She is moving towards items she wants such as the lap top, the remote, or a cell phone...none of her "real" toys.

She is also sitting on her bottom and digging her heals into the floor scooting backwards.

She is waving to everyone no matter where we are.

She is also clapping when she gets excited or when she is listening to music.

These are just some of the newest things our little genius is doing.

Daddy and Addy

So, Daddy got jealous when I did a special post about me and Addison, so this one is for you Daddy. Here is a cute picture of Addison and Daddy playing together on the floor. He really knows how to make her laugh.

It's amazing what kids are thinking...

I have been sharing this story with everyone and I finally feel comfortable sharing this with all you...

My kids always give me hugs when we get to the classroom each morning. One morning I had a child give me a hug and tell me that I was more comfortable to hug than his mom. I initially took it as a compliment...then I started to think about it. I later asked him, "what did you mean by me being more comfortable to hug?" He said, "Well my mom is a little skinnier, but you are just right, kinda like a pillow." I couldn't stop laughing.

So many people are always asking how parenthood is going and lately the only way I can describe it is that I am totally crazy about her. Here are some pictures of us just hanging out.

A Special Visit

We were so happy to have Grandma Neesy and Grandpa John Bo in town this weekend. Today we went to the Irmo Okra Strut, to the hospital to see Mikayla, and house shopping. Here are some pictures from our fun weekend.

Nana-Nana-Boo-Boo

We have been trying to explain this face that addison is making to everyone. We finally caught her on camera. We are calling it her Nana-nana-boo-boo face. She is so silly.

Welcome Mikayla Jayne

Mikayla was born this morning weighing 3.08 pounds. She is so tiny but is doing so great! She is breathing on her own and using a tube to eat. She is expected to stay in the NICU for 5-6 weeks. Here are some pictures of Kasey and Marshall's little trooper.

Today Addison wore the cutest overalls. We put her infront of the mirror and she approved! Just thought we would share:-)

Baby Update

Kasey and the baby are doing good. The ultrasound showed the baby weighing 3 pounds and is developing perfectly. They will continue to keep Kasey in the hospital until the baby arrives.

Connor and Addison

Here is a cute picture of Connor and Addison. It was really hard to get a picture of them both looking at the camera. Connor is very mobile now. He craws, stands on his own, and will walk with you holding is finger.

Uncle Chris

I just wanted to share the cutest picture of Uncle Chris and Addison. Today Addison was surprised when we got home and Chris was there. She loves smiling at Chris.

Prayers Needed...

Today our family had a big scare. Kasey's water broke this morning and with 10 weeks left in her pregnancy everyone went into panic mode. Luckily the baby is doing great. Kasey was given a shot of steroids to help increase the development of the babies lungs. She also had an ultrasound to help determine the weight of the baby. She will get these results tomorrow morning.
Suprisingly Kasey is doing well. She is the calmest out of the entire family. She has been put on bed-rest and will remain at the hospital until the baby is born. The doctors are going to do everything they can to keep her pregnant for at least 5 more weeks.
Kasey is going to be spending a lot of time alone in the hospital and I know it is going to be hard on her. She has also been the main cargiver for Connor so right now everyone is trying to figure out who will be watching him for the next month.
I ask that you keep Kasey, Marshall, Connor, and their unborn baby girl in your prayers.

Addison Playing

Here are some pictures of Addison sitting-up and playing with her toys. We can sit her toy basket next to her and she will pick out what she wants to play with. Today Paul put her in her toy basket and she played for the longest time not thinking twice about the fact that she was IN her basket.

GO Gamecocks!

Today Paul and I had a wonderful time going to the USC game. Pappy got us some of the most amazing seats that included all you can eat food, drinks, and AC! Even though the Cocks lost, it was a great game. Here are some pictures from our fun day.

So today we were going through Addison's drawers and closets to clean out everything she has outgrown and we ran across these sunglasses. I could not stop laughing...first of all they are still too big for her, but she didn't seem to mind. She continued to play as if she didn't even have them on. They are the kind that strap around her head so they aren't exactly on right...I just thought I would share what had me in tears...

Today when I picked Addison up, Mrs. Pam and I got on this conversation of feeding Addison. I was shocked when she told me that Addison has been feeding herself since day-one! I kept saying, "Are you kidding me", "Are you serious"? Up until today Paul and I have still been cradling her when we feed her. We had no idea that she could feed herself. We knew that she could hold her bottle, but not sit by herself and feed herself. Again, she surprises us everyday!

Sitting Up

Addison decided to start sitting up on her own this weekend. She continues to suprise us every day. Here are some pictures of her sitting up before bed time.
