Standing...finally!

This weekend Addison decided to get brave and stand on her own. She does it only on HER time...princess:-) She took a couple of steps last week, but hasn't done it again. I'm in no rush...this discovery age is amazing!

I was about to take a picture of me and Addison and she decided to stand on her own...so I got a picture. Paul was just being silly and didn't even know Addison was standing on her own.

Only 4 more weeks...

Today we went to Natalee's first Wedding Shower. She had a big turn out with lots of gifts! We can't believe she only has 4 more weeks!!!

Addison...I love you so much!

Sometimes when I post these pictures, I can't help to wonder how much Addison is going to hate me when she gets older. I was in the middle of changing her and she got away...I couldn't help it!

Addison's Birthday Party!!!

We had an exciting weekend! My mom, dad, brother, Grandma, Grandpa came in town on Friday to spend time with all of us. We had a lot of fun "catching-up" and getting ready for the party. Saturday night, my mom and I stayed up past midnight making the cakes for Addison's party (mom did most of the work). They turned out WONDERFUL! On Sunday it was all about the party. The clubhouse looked great, there was plenty of food, lots of people, and tons of presents for Addison. Thank you everyone for coming out to the party to share this special day with us. She truely knows shes loved.

BIRTHDAY GIRL!!!

We woke Addison up this morning singing Happy Birthday. She was in the best mood and was so excited! At Mrs. Pam's house, she had a Birthday Party where she recieved many gifts. When I picked her up, she was still in the sillest mood...almost as if she knew it was her special day. We came home and played with all of her new gifts from school. MiMi came over not too long after we got home with plenty more gifts. We finished the night at Arby's, where Addison had a few bites of a roast beef sandwich. Dear Addison,

I am so amazed at how fast you are growing up. I feel like it was just yesterday when I brought you home. I felt so prepared, but when I had you in my arms, I was so scared. The nights you cried, I cried. I wanted you to be happy and comfortable, and I was willing to do whatever it took. You are changing each day. Learning something new each day. Like your Great Pop-pop you are always trying to make people laugh. You always make people smile, and I love that about you.
I thank God everyday for you!

You have brought such joy to your mommy and I. This past year has been so much fun watching you grow and explore your new world. I want to share with you some of things that I love about you: I love it when I get to wake you up in the morning to get you ready to go to Mrs.Pams, I love kissing you goodbye and telling you I will see you this afternoon, I love how you smile and stick your tongue out, I love how you are starting to give kisses, I love how you reach up to me when you want me to pick you up, and I love how you yell and point (thanks mimi) at lily and call her BAD DOG. But most of all i love you because you are my daughter...and now I'm crying writing this.
