Grandma, Grandpa, and Matthew drove up on Christmas night. We had a fun weekend that included presents, food, and shopping. Thank you for all of our gifts. We can't wait to see you again!

Merry Christmas
Addison woke up at 6:15 this morning as if she knew it was Christmas. We brought her in the living room and sat her down. As soon as she spotted her Christmas present from Santa she crawled straight to it. It was so fun to see the excitement in her face at such a young age. She did a great job opening her presents and playing with the paper.
Breakfast at Memaw's
We had a large breakfast at Memaw's and then exchanged presents. The babies were over-loaded with tons of presents.
Lunch
We had lunch with MiMi, Pappy, Aunt Nat Nat, and Uncle Adam. The funniest story to share was when Addison decided she wanted to crawl around the house naked. She crawled through the entire downstairs giggling and having so much fun. She finally stopped in the living room when I noticed her shiver. I told Pappy that that was what she typically does when she pees. Aunt Nat looked down and saw that Addison had peed on the floor. We were all laughing, it was so funny!

Christmas Eve
Addison playing with one of the stems from the tree (I wonder where she learned that...pappy!)
I can't believe this is going to be Addison's first Christmas. I had all these great visions of us sitting around the tree reading the Christmas story, making cookies, and possibly opening up an early Christmas present...Addison had her own plans. She was tired and only cared about going to bed. We were lucky to get these pictures of her sitting in front of the Christmas tree.
Merry Christmas to everyone. Throughout your busy day don't forget the reason for the season. Because of Christmas, we are able to have a relationship with Christ and have eternal life. How exciting is that?

Christmas with Aunt Katie
We had an early Christmas with Aunt Katie Sunday night. We cooked a 15 pound turkey with all the fixings. Addison enjoyed some mashed potatoes, turkey, and stuffing. After dinner we gave Addison a bath when all of a sudden the electricty went out. The entire neighborhood went completely black. Using our cell phones, we finished Addison's bath and quickly gathered as many candles as we would find. In the candle light we opened our presents. Addison really enjoys opening presents. When we were finished she made her way to the tree to find more.

One of my classroom mom's brought her daughter (Addison's age) in this really cool car on Friday. I couldn't stop wondering whether or not Addison would like something like this...so she let me give it a try. Addison loved it. Paul took her all around the school visiting all her "fans". We are still considering this really cool car for Christmas. When she gets bigger the handle can come off and she can use her feet to push it along.
