Our Big Girl

Addison got new bedroom furniture for Christmas from her MiMi and Pappy.  She loves her new bed and started sleeping in it day one.  She also got a new dresser, which she loves rearranging the clothes, and a toy chest that her Pappy built for her.  I got a kitchen set free from my school and refinished it to match her room.  She loves everything.  It is now a fun place to hang out in.

Potty Training

So, we decided to go ahead and start potty training Addison.  I was going to have 2 weeks to dedicate to properly training her.  I did a ton of research and talked to a lot of people.  My goal was to make this a fun learning experience for her.  I decided to stay the 1st day at home and let Addison run around in a shirt and undies.  She was so excited about her Dora undies.  She did very well the 1st day.  She used the potty 3 times and only had 3 accidents.  I made a big deal of NOT peeing on Dora.  Her first accident she ran to me "telling-on" Dora.  She kept saying, "Dora, pee pee".  She was completely grossed out by this learning process.  It upset her everytime she had an accident.  Day 2 was wonderful.  She had an accident early in the morning and that was it!  It was been just over a week since we started training Addison and she has only had 1 accident.  We are so proud of our little girl!

Early Christmas

We had an early Christmas with Uncle E, AA, and Ry Ry.  Addison loved opening the presents.  She would rip one little piece at a time and then hand the trash to whoever was close by.  She got a new baby doll, a diaper bag with tons of goodies.  Thank you!

We also got a surprise visit from Aunt KK.  She got Addison a bunch of puzzles that came on a really cool organization shelf.  Thank you!

Lights at Saluda Shoals

MiMi and Pappy had an amazing day in Charleston planned for all of us.  We were going to go shopping, sight-seeing, out to eat at California Dreaming, and then the lights at James Island.  Well the weather caused a change in plans.  We had to stay in Columbia but still had fun visiting with Aunt Nat Nat and Uncle Adam, going out to eat, and seeing the lights at Saluda Shoals.

Addison had so much fun.  She viewed all the lights, hanging out the window, with the heat blasting.

Sleepover!

Mimi, Pappy, and Nat Nat took Addison Friday night for a sleepover.  We were able to have a date night that consisted of finishing our Christmas shopping, wrapping all the gifts, and putting the lights up outside.  Thank you Mimi, Pappy, and Nat Nat I can tell from the pictures that ya'll had a GREAT time!

Addison...Addison...oh Addison!

I have always thought Addison to be halarious!  She does the funniest things...and she does them on purpose.  I can't imagine how she is going to be when she gets older...I think I might be in trouble.
Here are a few of the latest things she has done that kept us laughing for a long time.
* On the way home from VA we stopped by McDonalds and got her some pancakes.  As we were driving down the road she kept saying "Mama, Hat!", "Daddy, Hat?"...finally I looked back at her and she had her pancake on her head.
*  The other day on the way home she kept saying "Mama, hahaha".  When I looked back at her she had taken off her shoes and socks and had placed her Cherrios in between her toes (thanks pappy for teaching her this nice trick)
* Yesterday it was raining and for some reason she had taken off her shoes and socks.  The door was wet from when I was loading her in the car.  She was rubbing her feet on the door then calling me to watch her as she licked the water off her toes...gross but funny!
* Today as we were on our way to school she called me saying, "look mamma ewww"  I looked back and something was on her finger.  I said, "Gross Addison, what is it?".   She laughed as she put it in her mouth.  I still don't know what it was.

It's A Boy!!!

We were very suprised today to find out that we had a little boy making his way into the world.  It still feels so weird to say "he" or "son"...there are really no words to express how excited we are.  I also found out today that the baby is measuring at 22 weeks and 4 days.  Since this was not a planned pregnancy it was a guessing game to get our originally due date of April 13th.  Our new due date is April 2nd.  We will keep you updated on our little boy as his arrival time gets closer.
